The final evaluation of the National Adaptation Plan

 16/03/2021

The National Climate Commission just approved the final evaluation of the national adaptation plan covering the period 2017 -2020.

In April 2017, a National Adaptation Plan was approved with specific adaptation measures to be taken at the national level to improve cooperation and develop synergies between different entities (federal and regional). In March 2019, the mid-term evaluation of this plan was published. This final evaluation comes as a follow-up to that mid-term evaluation and specifically focuses on the final implementation of the National Adaptation Plan.

For each measure in the plan, a monitoring sheet was prepared by the person responsible for implementing the measures using predefined indicators.

The positive progress on adaptation shown by the initial steps, observed during the mid-term evaluation, were continued for most of the measures. In addition, besides the positive follow up, the document identifies remaining focal points which can lay at the base of a new plan after priorities have ben reassessed.
